Established in 2002, Patsime Trust was the direct response to civic society organisations seeking innovative complementary approaches in participatory communication with a thematic focus on HIV and AIDS and its various cross cutting elements. Theatre thus emerged as a linchpin holding together an all inclusive initiative responding to the felt needs. Through time and lived experiences Patsime has developed cutting edge expertise in using theatre to address HIV and AIDS issues expanding its activity beyond just the production of live and recorded edutainment programming to include capacity building of various other partners employing similar strategies, as a way of multiplying the efforts in realising a shared cause.
